In order to save myself from the neverending torment of new collections and limited releases, I generally try to make hauls, as opposed to small purchases, just so I’m not constantly buying up …
A few weeks ago, I was taking stock of my makeup collection and decided I needed to restock on my setting powders. And by that, I mean I realized I only had, like, three powders and that was just not enough. So, I made a small haul through Camera Ready Cosmetics in order to replenish my Ben Nye setting powder, as well as pick up a new bottle of Final Seal. In addition, I noticed they offered samples of the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer, so I got one in shade SX08 to see how I’d like it.
Several months ago, I posted about the release of a special limited edition OCC lip tar called January Rising in order to raise money for an OCC employee’s (the titular January) transitional surgery. I gladly contributed to the campaign, and received my lip tar quite a while ago — maybe a month or even longer. Halfway through Sugarpill week! Today, I have the Sugarpill Sweetheart palette to show you. Though I love all the palettes to bits, this is probably my second favorite of the bunch. (Burning Heart, which I’ll show you tomorrow, is my favorite.) I think of all them, however, the Sugarpill Sweetheart palette is probably the most “versatile.”
I say that because this is the only palette which includes a potential highlight shade in Tako. Of course, not all palettes or eye looks need a highlight shade, but I think if you wanted to pick only one palette which could be used with other brands/shadows in a million different looks, this would be my choice. Of course, you may disagree! I’d love to hear your thoughts on it 😀
2012 has been such a strange year for me. I got back into beauty blogging, which I had left for lots of reasons. At the same time, I struggled (and still do) to figure out how I stand with makeup right now. My biggest problem is product hoarding — I’m such a magpie when it …
